Within the BT account, our CBRE workplace team manages facilities and projects across a diverse property portfolio in the UK, including offices, contact centers, telephone exchanges, and retail outlets.

Role: Technical Supervisor
The Technical Supervisor (TS) is responsible for the technical delivery across a cluster of BT sites, ensuring compliance and safety at all times. The TS provides guidance on mechanical and electrical systems, supports operational incident response, and collaborates with the Area Operations Manager (AOM) and Technical Services Manager (TSM).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Promote safety and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and policies.
2. Manage and supervise the facilities management team, including absence management and training.
3. Coordinate with technical support teams and manage maintenance operations, repairs, and replacements.
4. Support first-line investigations into building faults and coordinate repairs.
5. Oversee subcontractors and manage supplier relationships.
6. Ensure statutory compliance and maintain all on-site documentation.
7. Manage budgets, inventory, and small projects.
8. Review and verify asset data, warranties, and building defects.
9. Prepare reports, manage KPIs, and handle customer escalations.
10. Support emergency planning and risk assessments.
11. Prioritize workloads and ensure deadlines are met.
Person Specification:
Candidates should have expertise in at least one discipline (mechanical, electrical, etc.), supported by relevant qualifications. Essential skills include clear communication, customer focus, safety awareness, teamwork, planning, risk management, adaptability, and a drive for excellence. Proficiency in report writing and financial awareness are also required.
