Part-Time Contract Available (Immediate Start) Between hours
To meet business needs, candidates must be available to work a minimum of four days per week, including Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Shifts are scheduled between 8:00am and 6:30pm, with working patterns to be agreed. Occasional Saturday shifts may also be available, with enhanced pay.

Job Summary
To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception and administrative duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include but are not limited to, greeting, and directing patients, patient registration, booking appointments, processing of information (electronic and hard copy) and assisting patients as required. To act as the central point of contact for patients, the distribution of information, messages, and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.
Primary Responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities of the receptionist/administrator. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
a. Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system
b. Process personal, telephone and e-requests for appointments
c. Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately
d. Signpost patients to the correct service
e. Process incoming and outgoing mail including AccuRx queries
f. Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agencies
g. Action GP2GP tasks
h. Photocopy documentation as required
i. File and store records as required
j. Oversee and monitor patient registrations through the HealthTech1 platform. Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required
k. Input data into the patient's healthcare records as necessary
l. Scanning of patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patient's healthcare records
m. Process requests for information i.e. SAR, insurance / solicitors letters and DVLA forms to the administrative team
n. Manage all queries (including administrative queries) as necessary in an efficient manner
o. Carry out system searches as requested
p. Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area in accordance with GDPR at all times
q. Monitor and maintain the reception area and notice boards
r. Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested
Secondary Responsibilities
In addition to the primary responsibilities, the administrator/receptionist may be requested to:
a. Support administrative and reception staff, providing cover during staff absences
b. Complete opening and closing procedures in accordance with the duty rota
c. As required support the clinical pharmacist in the management of repeat prescriptions, ensuring they are processed accurately and efficiently
The Candidate
* Ability to work well within a small team
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Able to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive documentation
* Experience of working within a customer focused environment
* Excellent organisational skills
* Proficient in the use of IT software (Microsoft Office)
* Previous General Practice experience with knowledge of SystemOne desirable
