About the Company
We are working exclusively with a market‑leading medical technology company that is investing heavily in their UK & Ireland commercial operations. They are now seeking a Tender & Bid Team Leader to guide a small but high‑performing team while overseeing complex, multi‑unit tender processes.
This role is perfect for someone currently operating as a Senior Specialist or experienced Tender/Bid professional ready for their first official leadership position — or a current manager looking for a broader, more strategic remit.
Responsibilities
* Lead, coach, and develop a team of three Tender & Bid Specialists/Administrators, fostering excellence and growth
* Oversee the end‑to‑end tender and bid lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with internal standards
* Drive continuous improvement of processes, SOPs, and performance metrics
* Coordinate complex, multi‑stakeholder tender submissions across multiple business units
* Consolidate commercial, technical, and financial inputs to produce compelling, high‑quality bids
* Champion ESG, Sustainability and Social Value across all submissions
* Produce reporting and insights to support senior decision-making
* Act as a key internal partner for Sales on tender‑related reporting and activities
Experience
* 3+ years’ experience in tender, bid, or related commercial roles
* Strong knowledge of healthcare procurement — NHS tendering experience is a major advantage
* Proven ability to manage people, or clear evidence of step‑up leadership
* Highly skilled in drafting, coordinating, and improving complex bid processes
* Skilled stakeholder manager with the confidence to challenge and coordinate at all levels
* Proficient in MS Office, SharePoint; Power BI experience is highly desirable
* Degree‑educated or equivalent (business, science, or economics preferred)
