This role is customer facing so there is an expectation that the successful candidate will be on site full time. Job Summary The Ministry of Defence employs over 50,000 Civil Servants. Within that, the Army Top Level Budget (TLB) employs around 12,000 MOD Civil Servants located at over 300 locations. Ours is a diverse workforce, with roles ranging from trainers, human resources, teachers, and psychologists to storekeepers, financiers, project and programme managers, and policy secretariat staff. There are many different functions and professions delivering key outputs for the Army. The purpose of the role is to ensure the Defence driving license acquisition and testing is managed in line with the Defence Safety Authority’s Driver License Acquisition and Associated Training Manual and to ensure that the integrity of all driver theory and practical tests is maintained. This role is currently subject to Defence Licencing Testing Authority (DeLTA) Reorganisation, which seeks to restructure the DeLTA provision, including the transition from Regional Command (RC) to the Defence School of Transport (DST). It is not currently anticipated that the role will change. This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. Code 102) Desirable Hold a UK issued photocard driving licence with Full Category D (Coach) entitlement for a minimum of 3 months (with no restrictions ie. Code 102) Previous experience of Licence Acquisition Testing (LAT) supervision in the MOD Documentary evidence of licences held will be required at interview. If not already held, the successful candidate will be required to undertake and pass the Defence Driving Examiner course within 6 months of taking up post. Licences Must hold a UK issued photocard driving licence with Full Category B entitlement for a minimum of 3 years with: No serious endorsements (no more than 3 current penalty points).
