Eventus Legal are seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join a thriving Residential Conveyancing team based in Darlington, County Durham. This is a full-time, permanent job offering a competitive salary of £26,000–£30,000 (depending on experience), alongside a generous bonus and benefits package. Role Responsibilities
* Supporting fee earners with day-to-day residential conveyancing transactions
* Handling general client and third-party queries efficiently and professionally
* Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents and referrers via telephone and email
* Assisting with property completions and post-completion matters
* Conducting searches and preparing documentation for residential transactions
* Typing correspondence, legal documents and letters accurately
* Carrying out general administrative and secretarial duties within the conveyancing team
* Managing workloads effectively and prioritising tasks within a busy Conveyancing Assistant job
Person Specification
* Previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant, Legal Assistant, Conveyancing Secretary or Property Assistant is desirable
* Strong communication skills with a confident and professional telephone manner
* Excellent client care and customer service skills
* Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
* Good attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
* Experience using a case management system such as SOS is advantageous but not essential
* A proactive approach with the ability to use initiative within a Conveyancing Assistant job
