Research Leads- The Australian Research Centre for Cancer Survivorship at UNSW
Responsibilities
* The Research Leads will report to Professor Koczwara and play a key role in shaping the Centre’s research strategy across four major themes: Person-Centred Care in Cancer Survivorship; Behaviour and Health; Survivorship Epidemiology; and Precision Survivorship.
* Lead and develop world‑leading survivorship research; build national and international partnerships; secure competitive funding; and mentor the next generation of researchers.
* Contribute to the Centre’s goals within UNSW Medicine & Health, and support implementation of the safety management system.
Qualifications
* A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
* Extensive leadership experience in the relevant professional field.
* Proven commitment to up-to-date discipline knowledge and developments.
* Experience leading research projects and research teams; substantial supervision of honours and postgraduate research.
* Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to work across disciplines, faculties, institutions and industry; ability to attract significant industry funding.
* Evidence of being an inspirational mentor and advocate for equity, diversity and inclusion.
* Understanding of UNSW’s aims, objectives and values, policies and guidelines; ability to lead safety management implementation.
Position Details
* Employment type: Full-time
* Location: Kensington, New South Wales
* Duration: Up until 30 June 2029
* Remuneration: Academic Level D or Level E ($185k– $237k) based on experience + 17% Super + Annual Leave Loading
* Positions available: 4 X Research Leads
