We are seeking highly motivated and dynamic registered midwives to join our team who are passionate about delivering high quality care and achieving the best patient experience.
Workplace Overview
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck, and Hexham, along with smaller community hospitals and clinics across North Tyneside and Northumberland. We also operate the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital's Birthing Centre, mixed antenatal/postnatal inpatient ward, 24‑hour Pregnancy Assessment Unit, and three stand‑alone midwifery‑led units.
Key Responsibilities
* Support all areas within our maternity services, including acute services, community settings, and stand‑alone MLU units.
* Provide low‑risk midwifery care in the Birthing Centre and obstetric care for women with associated risk factors.
* Participate in Trust statutory and mandatory training on a yearly basis.
Qualifications & Experience
* Valid registration/revalidation with the midwifery profession.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, compassion, flexibility and willingness to develop new skills.
* Completed a Band 5 preceptorship.
* Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to women’s needs and choices.
Training & Development
