About The Role

We are looking for a dedicated Social Worker to join our city-wide Adults Safeguarding Team at Birmingham City Council. This role focuses on meeting the Local Authority’s statutory responsibility to provide a person centred approach to protecting vulnerable citizens.


Key Responsibilities

* To meet Adult Social Care’s statutory responsibilities as detailed in Section 42 of the Care Act.
* To respond to Safeguarding Concerns, conduct Safeguarding Enquiries and formulate Safeguarding Plans as required.
* To work closely with citizens, carers, colleagues and partner agencies in line with the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal.
* Ensure compliance with legal requirements, policies, and safeguarding procedures.
* Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continual service improvement.


About You

* Qualified Social Work England registration.
* Experience delivering social work services to vulnerable adults.
* Experience of Adult Safeguarding is desirable.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
* Knowledge of key legislation guiding social work and social care.
* Commitment to equality, diversity, and continual professional development.
