Exciting opportunity to work for a leading FM Service Provider situated in London. CBW are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Manager to be based on a historical and unique site based in Central London. The ideal candidate will be mechanically qualified and have previously worked within a large commercial environment requiring critical and non-critical maintenance. Candidates must have a strong technical understanding and must also be able to demonstrate a proven track record in the commercial building services environment, with excellent personal skills. Hours of work
Monday to Friday - 08:00am to 17:00pm
Key duties & Responsibilities
* Directly responsibility for the management and delivery of building maintenance services in a diverse and challenging environment
* Responsible for the daily provision of reactive and planned preventative maintenance services for building services/systems
* Responsible for close liaison with events and exhibitions teams and their external clients when
* undertaking fabric repair works following exhibition and events facilities
* Liaison with specialist contractors.
* Establishing costs (labour, materials, management overheads, consumables, etc).
* Drafting quotations for client approval.
* Management and coordination of delivery of works to agreed timescales.
* Manage a small team on site
* Ensure health and safety is adhered to and all paperwork is complete to correct standards.
* Maintain cleanliness of plant rooms.
* Ensure reactive maintenance is undertaken in accordance with the contract.
* Manage minor improvements.
* Attend client meetings.
* Manage contractors
* Offer technical support to the engineering and client team
Applicants for the role must be able to meet the following criteria:
* Fully qualified to recognised mechanical standard (HNC, HNC C&G)
* Previous experience managing a commercial building.
* Knowledge of working with a budget and knowing how to manage costs.
* Previous experience of planned and reactive maintenance.
* Fully conversant with Electrical, Mechanical, inc Gas, Refrigeration and Pressurised systems
* Managed auditing processes for a range of services and performed to service KPI’s
* Good communication (both written and verbal) skills
* Competent in the use of IT including all MS Office packages and CAFM Systems
* Financial management of staff, contractors and commodities
* Delivered services within a historic or heritage environment (Highly Desirable)
* Experience with the management or support to exhibitions and events (Highly Desirable)
