We're looking for a Procurement Manager to join our joint venture with BAM Nuttall based at Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth.
Location: Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: 42.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available; just let us know when you speak to us.
Responsibilities
As a Procurement Manager, you'll work with the head of supply chain to drive and ensure the strategic plan for the business unit is implemented at framework level, ensuring procurement policies of both Kier Group and the joint venture are adhered to.
Your Day To Day Will Include
* Developing and owning preferred suppliers and strategic partnerships to deliver best value for all parties.
* Supporting audit requirements from both internal and external Kier audits, whilst conducting supply chain audits regularly.
* Ensuring suppliers and/or subcontractors have relevant health and safety accreditation, and sustainability and carbon reduction policies that align with Kier's standards.
* Managing budget costs and negotiating with all parties to ensure value for money.
What are we looking for?
This role of Procurement Manager is ideal if:
* You are educated to at least HNC/HND level in a construction discipline and hold professional membership within the construction industry.
* You have senior-level experience in supply chain procurement within a similar role on complex projects, with a track record of cost and time savings.
* You demonstrate proven self-management, communication, and IT skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with client representatives, supply chain partners, and others.
