Role Purpose
* Develop and implement commodity strategies that leverage GKN Aerospace’s spend to deliver significant annual improvements in cost and service levels.
* Implement & manage corporate contracts at regional & global levels for GKN Aerospace.
* Coordinate implementation of contracts through the P2P function at sites and manage compliance.
* Manage cross-functional stakeholder teams to identify business needs and implement contracts that support business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Function as a trusted business partner supporting Category’s internal customers to fulfill their strategic requirements (cost, performance, quality, sustainability).
* Be accountable for delivering targeted savings to improve GKN Aerospace’s profitability.
* Develop and lead the strategy for procurement of Professional Services, documented and communicated to stakeholders.
* Lead stakeholder teams across countries to improve contracts for GKN Aerospace.
* Communicate and gain support for commodity strategies across the organization.
* Provide analysis and information to senior management on plans and benefits.
* Negotiate with senior supplier representatives to achieve business benefits.
* Develop a consistent approach to indirect commodities.
* Analyze data to identify procurement opportunities.
* Manage Requests for Proposal / Auctions within commodities.
* Monitor contract compliance and take remedial actions as needed.
* Develop budgets and forecasts for commodities and liaise with sites.
* Implement and manage standardized business review processes.
* Steer long-term procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
* Demonstrate knowledge of procurement activities and supply markets.
* Lead and influence stakeholders, including senior management.
* Maintain good analytical skills and lead with integrity and humility.
* Build and lead remote sourcing and implementation teams.
* Engage stakeholders across functions, regions, and sites.
* Possess project management capabilities.
* Experience working across sites and functions, willing to challenge the status quo.
* Preferred experience in aerospace, banking, or financial consulting industries.
