At Leeds Jewish Welfare Board (LJWB), we've been supporting individuals and families across North Leeds for over 145 years. We're proud to provide essential care and support to over 1,000 people each month-and now we're looking for someone special to join our team.
We're on the lookout for a Support Worker who is caring, enthusiastic, and ready to be a positive presence in the lives of adults with learning disabilities. If you're the kind of person who leads with empathy, loves a good day out, and wants to help others live life to the fullest-you might be just who we're looking for.
You'll be working in one of our three well-established Kosher residential homes, all rated Good by the CQC. These homes are more than just places to live-they're warm, welcoming communities filled with fun, laughter, and purpose.
From supporting with day-to-day routines to joining residents on outings, activities, and appointments, you'll be helping each person live a happy, independent, and meaningful life.
This Role Needs a Confident Driver
You'll need to hold a full UK driving licence, as a big part of the role involves accompanying or driving residents to activities, appointments, and adventures out in the community.
Offering personalised care and support in daily routines
Helping with cooking, household tasks, and maintaining a safe, happy home
Driving/accompanying residents on outings and to appointments
Encouraging independence and promoting wellbeing every step of the way
A valid UK driving licence
NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or a willingness to complete the Care Certificate with us)
A flexible, proactive attitude - able to work weekends and bank holidays
Experience working with people with learning disabilities (preferred)
