Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen & Bar Manager to oversee our food and beverage operations and ensure a high standard of service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a solid background in food and beverage management. As Kitchen & Bar Manager, you will be responsible for creating an inviting atmosphere, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Responsibilities
* Supervise daily bar and kitchen operations, ensuring efficient service and adherence to quality standards.
* Manage and train bar and kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment and promoting professional development.
* Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and controlling stock levels to minimise waste.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area and cellar in accordance with company policies.
* Monitor financial performance, including sales targets and budgeting for bar operations.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within a bar or restaurant setting.
* Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation and production techniques.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively.
* Demonstrated expertise in hospitality practices, serving techniques, and customer service excellence.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management.
* Previous kitchen management experience is mandatory. Barista training is advantageous but not essential.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with guests and staff alike.
