Welsh-Medium Trainee Teaching Assistant – Swansea

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for aspiring Welsh-Medium Trainee Teaching Assistants to gain valuable classroom experience within schools across Swansea. No previous qualifications or experience are required — just enthusiasm, commitment, and a genuine desire to support young learners.
Working in partnership with Welsh-medium schools on a supply basis, we provide high-quality training alongside paid, hands-on experience to help you develop your skills and confidence in an educational setting.
About the Role
As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils in the classroom under the guidance of the class teacher. Responsibilities may vary depending on the school and could include:
1. Supporting pupils during lessons
2. Delivering small group interventions
3. Providing 1:1 support to individual learners
4. Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Following a successful interview and completion of safeguarding and suitability checks, we will support you in securing paid placements within schools to further your development.
We will also help you explore and identify your preferred specialist area, including:
5. EYFS
6. Key Stage 1
7. Key Stage 2
8. Secondary education
9. ALN (Additional Learning Needs) provision
