Online Tutors (all subjects) Job – Online
Prospero Teaching is looking for a 1:1 Online Tutor to deliver sessions remotely in either GCSE English, Maths or Science.
The Opportunity
This Online Tutor Opportunity is for a professional tutor and qualified UK teacher to bridge learning gaps, raise attainment and prepare students for their GCSEs. The successful candidate will have outstanding teaching skills both in the classroom and when delivering innovative and engaging online learning and a passion for helping students from a range of backgrounds to develop their Maths skills.

We are looking for Maths tutors who are eager to work with children and young people with a variety of learning needs with a creative, flexible and holistic approach to raise attainment and drastically improve the outlook of their educational journey.

1. Location – Online
2. Position – 1:1 Online Tutor
3. Type of work – Contract
4. Start date – ASAP
5. Duration / Likely Duration – Until sufficient progression is made
6. End date (if applicable) – N/A
7. Contract type – Temporary
8. Full-time/part-time – Part time (dependent on pupils needs)
9. Minimum rate of pay – £25 per hour
10. Hours – Timetable can vary dependent on pupil availability
Experience, Training and Qualifications of the 1:1 Online Tutor:
11. QTS or equivalent
12. A minimum of 1 year UK classroom experience
13. Be confident teaching sessions online
14. Provide a firm but fair approach
15. Have recent safeguarding training or willing to undergo Prospero’s course
To be eligible for this role, the potential 1:1 Maths Tutor must:
16. Hold the right to work in the UK
17. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
18. Provide two professional child-related references.
