About the Role:
* Deliver engaging and challenging History lessons across Key Stages 3-5, following exam specifications and incorporating diverse historical perspectives and methodologies.
* Plan and deliver lessons that foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and historical inquiry, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources, including primary source analysis and historiography.
* Assess student progress through research projects, essays, and written examinations, providing detailed feedback to support their development.
* Contribute to the development of the History curriculum, integrating current historical research and advanced concepts, and participate in departmental planning.
* Organize and lead historical societies, research projects, and extracurricular activities, promoting student engagement and historical inquiry.
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong History subject knowledge, including diverse historical periods and methodologies.
* Demonstrated experience teaching History to A-Level, with a focus on both theoretical concepts and research skills.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate high-achieving students.
