Business Development Director – UK, Ireland & Nordics

About the Role:
We are seeking a Business Development Director to drive growth in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing across the UK, Ireland, and Nordics territories. This is a senior, hands-on commercial role where you will identify, negotiate, and close new business opportunities while managing and expanding relationships with existing clients. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, act as the client advocate, and ensure solutions meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive new commercial business across assigned territories.
* Develop and execute territory sales and growth plans to meet business objectives.
* Negotiate and execute contracts and supply agreements in collaboration with legal teams.
* Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and acting as their advocate internally.
* Organize periodic business reviews and ensure prompt resolution of any issues.
* Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
* Ensure all work complies with regulatory and quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, or related field.
* 5+ years of commercial experience in the pharmaceutical/CDMO sector.
* Proven track record in business development and account management across multiple dosage forms.
* Strong understanding of the UK, Ireland, and Nordics pharmaceutical markets.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Highly organized with strong project management abilities.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven mindset.
* Willingness to travel as required across assigned territories.
