What You’ll Be Getting Up To * Leading a team of bookkeepers and client managers (including trainees who may occasionally need caffeine and pep talks ☕) * Training and developing your crew like the accounting Yoda you were born to be * Planning and overseeing client compliance work * Preparing accounts (and probably mentally correcting them before lunch) * Keeping on top of strict deadlines like a pro ⏰ * Allocating work so nothing slips through the cracks * Reporting to Senior Managers and throwing out great ideas in meetings * Dealing with external organisations including HMRC (yes, those friendly folks ) * Managing client records and enquiries * Handling general ad hoc duties — because variety is the spice of accountancy ️ What You’ll Bring * ACCA or ACA qualified with 2 years post-qualification (essential) * 5 years’ experience in an accounting practice (essential) * Solid knowledge of Accounting Standards & Compliance Rules * Taxation know-how that would make HMRC blush * Software savvy across Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, DEXT, Sage Cloud Accounting * Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Email… basically if it’s got a keyboard, you’re golden) * Confidence with clients — you can explain debits and credits without sending anyone to sleep * Leadership chops to manage and train a team ⏰ Working Hours Monday to Friday — 9.00 am to 5.30 pm (office-based, with plenty of brews and banter).
