Customer Project Manager - Line Maintenance / AOG
Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is part of an award-winning network and is the flagship of Bombardier’s European operation. This Base and Line Maintenance Centre is the fastest-growing Service Centre in Europe and the largest Business Aircraft OEM in the UK. The facility performs maintenance checks, modifications, and upgrades. Located just 14 miles from London, it supports operators in the UK and beyond.
The Customer Project Manager acts as the primary contact for customers, managing projects including communication, coordination, and follow-up actions such as quotes, status updates, work package debriefs, squawk resolution, and warranty issues.
Key Responsibilities
* Research maintenance inputs including defects, SB, repairs, modifications, technical resources, parts, tooling, access, visas, and timelines.
* Forecast and coordinate demand for spares, consumables, and outsourcing; liaise with warehouse and supply chain.
* Provide quotations for defect rectification and out-of-phase tasks with draft CRS.
* Coordinate special programs (e.g., ISIT, CSIT) and warranty programs (e.g., Smart Parts, ESP, MSP, etc.) for approvals.
* Create work packages in SAP and Pivotal, including service orders during aircraft induction.
* Organize customer input meetings, updates, and status reports.
* Generate invoices and manage financial aspects related to projects.
* Develop critical milestones, monitor workflows, and ensure compliance with standards.
* Coordinate with departments, facilitate handovers, and support aircraft return to service.
* Manage parts shipments, PO closures, and warranty negotiations.
* Review and approve customer invoices, ensuring timely issuance.
* Follow up post-maintenance activities and support side projects.
* Promote safety, adhere to policies, and perform ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- A&P/ICAO type 2 licenses or equivalent experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of NAA, EASA, FAA Part 145 regulations, and operational regulations (Part 91, 121, 135)
- Understanding of aircraft maintenance inspection, repairs, modifications, and certifications (Part 21)
- Knowledge of environmental, health, safety regulations, and workplace safety
- Interpersonal and customer service skills, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills
- Experience in aircraft project management and planning
- Data analysis skills, SAP familiarity, and proficiency in MS Office and MS Project
