HGV Class 1 Driver
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Cambulslang, South Lanarkshire.

Day to Day Duties:
Your duties as a HGV Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:
* Delivery of goods from store to home and trunking
* Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
* Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
* Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
* Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
* Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Essential Skills:
As a HGV Class 1 Driver you will need to:
* Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
* Have a minimum of 24 months experience driving CE vehicles
* No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
* Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
* Complete a drug and alcohol test
* Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
* Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
* Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
* Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience:
* Experience driving any commercial vehicles
* Previous experience with multi drop deliveries
Training
* Driver's Assessment will have to be completed including theory test
* After successful Assessment, there will be a one week paid induction which will take place on a day
