Job Summary
Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. Supports and works alongside the care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring, innovative, supportive, and inclusive environment.
Shift Details
The schedule consists of two shifts, each lasting 33.75 hours per week. The shifts are for three nights, from 20:45 to 08:00, and will include weekends.
Responsibilities
* Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, be aware of any changes impacting care and care plans, and ensure new needs are met.
* Maintain accurate written records and amend them to reflect variations.
* Participate in person‑centred care planning, implementing, monitoring, and conducting monthly evaluations.
* Support residents with medication requirements.
* Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development where required.
* Act as the key point of contact for residents, their relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals – ensuring reasonable requests are addressed and concerns or complaints are escalated.
Qualifications & Experience
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
* At least 2 years of experience in a similar care environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
* Responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
Other Requirements
* DBS disclosure check – cost covered by Avery Healthcare.
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
* Current UK professional registration.
