Overview
As a HGV Relief Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our fleet maintains full utilisation, transporting modular structures and temporary storage & accommodation units on our fleet of lorry loader cranes. You will also work within our Tanker team servicing customer welfare requirements. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, compliance and professionalism to support a customer-focused and results-driven environment.

Responsibilities
* Deliver our products and services to customers on time, in full (OTIF), and report any issues as they arise.
* Adhere to planned routes and movement orders.
* Optimise loading and unloading times to complete work efficiently.
* Ensure requirements for moving abnormal loads are always met.
* Operate a lorry loader crane in varying environments and conditions.
* Work within the Tanker team executing customer service calls.
* Complete relevant safety checks on the allocated vehicle and equipment, report issues promptly, and ensure fleet and safety compliance.
* Adhere to EU driving hours and Working Times Regulations (WTD) at all times, aiming for zero infringements.
* Valid Class 1 HGV Driving Licence, with DCPC preferred; Class 2 considered with at least 1 year of experience.
* Previous experience operating a lorry loader crane from 31 tonne and above up to 66 tonnes.
* Previous experience operating a wagon and drag combination.
* Previous tanker / waste management experience desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
* CPCS and/or ALLMI lorry loader operator qualification.
* Demonstrate flexibility, as appointments may require you to be away from home throughout the working week, driving all types of vehicles at any of our locations. Appointments may change with limited notice, in line with business or operational needs.
Salary: £20.00 per hour (Salary Equivalent £46,800, overtime paid at time and a half).
Personal fuel paid to site. Working predominantly within one of our six regions, you may cover vacancies, holidays, or training for branch lorry loader and tanker drivers. This is a varied role that may require infrequent nights away and travel, depending on appointment. LORRY LOADING OR HIAB EXPERIENCE REQUIRED ALLMI D1+E OR CPCS REQUIRED.
