Job Description
3. Maintain and update rent and service charge accounts for tenants.
4. Prepare accurate rent and service charge calculations in line with regulations and policies.
5. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for rent and service charges.
6. Respond to tenant queries regarding rent and service charges promptly and professionally.
7. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies.
8. Collaborate with other departments to resolve account discrepancies.
9. Produce reports on rent and service charge data for internal and external stakeholders.
10. Support the accounting and finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Rents and Service Charge Officer should have:
11. Experience in accounting or finance roles within the not-for-profit sector.
12. Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
13. Knowledge of rent and service charge calculations and processes.
14. Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
15. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
16. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with tenants and colleagues.
17. A proactive approach to problem-solving and meeting deadlines.

18. Competitive salary ranging from £28,000 to £31,000 per annum.
19. Hybrid working model: initially three days on-site near Preston.
20. Flexible working hours: Monday to Thursday 8:45 AM - 5 PM, Friday 9 AM - 4 PM.
