Job Purpose: We are seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the successful delivery of residential housing developments in Oxford. Working closely with the Site Manager, you will help ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Business Overview: Lucy Developments is a developer of high-end, sustainable homes for sale, with prime sites within a 90-minute commute from Oxford. The business partners with top architects, designers, and craftsmen to create bespoke, EPC A- or B-rated homes that embrace innovative design, ecological materials, and renewable energy.
Job Context: The role involves assisting the Site Manager with daily operations, ensuring health and safety compliance, supervising subcontractors and trades, coordinating materials and logistics, conducting quality control checks, maintaining site documentation, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and solving on-site problems effectively.
Job Dimensions: The role will be based on-site for the duration of projects in and around Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Assist the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day site operations.
2. Ensure health & safety regulations and company policies are followed at all times.
3. Supervise subcontractors and trades, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to timelines.
4. Help coordinate materials, deliveries, and site logistics.
5. Conduct quality control checks and address issues promptly.
6. Maintain site records, reports, and documentation.
7. Liaise with clients, engineers, architects, and suppliers as required.
8. Support problem-solving and implement effective solutions on-site.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:
* Minimum experience in residential construction methodology, planning, programming, and management.
* Embedding a culture of health, safety, and sustainability awareness.
* Experience in construction on a new build residential site.
* Good knowledge of site standards, quality control, and health & safety management.
* Confidence in dealing with contractors, agents, and consultants.
* Experience in fast-paced, multi-tasking environments.
* Customer-focused experience.

* First Aid at Work
* Relevant construction qualification
* Manual Handling
* Scaffold Awareness
* Full UK Driving License
* CSCS card (Black Card)
