This is a role for a self-starter—someone confident operating independently, taking ownership of technical areas and driving tasks through to completion with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with Group Finance and other stakeholders.Accountabilities
1. Prepare monthly IFRS consolidations for the digital business, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance.
2. Maintain and reconcile intercompany balances, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of mismatches.
3. Prepare statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
4. Maintain, reconcile, and review capex balances with a focus on intangible assets and overseeing amortisation postings.
5. Preparation of accounting memos.
6. Provide support to the Financial Controller for the annual audit and budget.
7. Prepare and file VAT returns.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
8. Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent.
9. Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting experience.
10. Experience with consolidation of multiple entities, intercompany accounting, and statutory accounts.
11. Confident working independently and taking ownership of key accounting areas.
12. Self-starter who takes initiative, solves problems proactively, and works effectively with minimal supervision.
13. Confident communicator able to interact with senior stakeholders and challenge where necessary.
14. Able to work in a fast-paced organisation and reliable under pressure.
