Our client, a well-established and growing warehouse operation based in Dunstable, is currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor (Goods In / Operations) to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on warehouse professional with supervisory experience looking to step into a stable and structured leadership role within a busy logistics environment.
The Role
You will take responsibility for overseeing the Goods In function, ensuring inbound deliveries are processed efficiently, accurately and in line with operational standards.
You will also provide supervision and operational cover within pick and pack operations when required, supporting overall warehouse performance and productivity.
Reporting to the Assistant Warehouse Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards across safety, compliance and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervise and coordinate the Goods In operation
2. Support operational cover within pick and pack
3. Plan and allocate daily workloads effectively
4. Manage Warehouse Operatives and Reach Truck Drivers
5. Monitor productivity, accuracy and team performance
6. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and MHE standards
7. Manage performance, attendance and conduct issues
8. Support investigations and formal HR processes
9. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
10. Liaise with suppliers, carriers and internal departments
11. Provide flexibility to support other warehouse areas as required
Essential Requirements
12. Previous supervisory experience within a warehouse or logistics environment
13. Strong people management and communication skills
14. Experience handling performance and conduct matters
15. Good understanding of warehouse operations and Health & Safety
16. Confident decision-making ability
17. Flexible approach to hours and duties
Desirable
18. Experience supervising pick and pack operations
19. Reach Truck licence or practical experience
20. WMS system exposure
21. Experience working within KPI-driven environments
