Job Description
What will you be doing?
We’re seeking a talented individual to join our Private Client Tax team in Newcastle, responsible for managing compliance and providing tax advice for a client allocation. You will supervise tax staff, assist with client work, and handle technical and administrative issues.
As an Assistant Manager, your responsibilities will include, among others:
* Preparing and reviewing tax returns
* Managing HMRC enquiries and drafting or reviewing HMRC correspondence
* Ensuring compliance work on clients, monitoring deadlines and elections
* Preparing complex tax computations and supervising simpler ones
* Providing reports for clients on ad hoc advisory matters
* Managing billing and budgets
* Sharing technical knowledge through internal training
* Meeting client deadlines and adhering to S&W procedures
* Assisting partners with fee quotes and business growth
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* ATT qualification
* Knowledge of Private Client and Partnership Tax, with some planning experience
* Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Excellent written communication skills for drafting correspondence
* Good interpersonal skills for liaising with clients and staff
