Core Responsibilities Mathematical Delivery: Teaching Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE), fostering a classroom environment where students develop resilience in problem-solving and logical deduction. Faith Integration: Supporting the academy’s ethos by participating in the liturgical life of the school and encouraging students to reflect on how mathematical principles reflect the order of creation. Curriculum Mastery: Delivering lessons that cover the full breadth of the curriculum, from geometry and trigonometry to algebraic manipulation and statistical analysis. Diagnostic Assessment: Using data-driven insights to identify student misconceptions in numerical reasoning and providing targeted feedback that helps every learner excel. Enrichment Leadership: Coordinating extracurricular activities, such as the UKMT Maths Challenge or coding clubs, to stretch the most able mathematicians and foster a love for the subject. The Successful Candidate We are looking for a practitioner who combines academic excellence with a commitment to the holistic development of young people. Requirements include: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Mathematics or a related quantitative discipline.
