Location: Sandwich (Hybrid 2 days from home)

In this role, you will not just hand requirements here; you'll help shape them. You'll influence architecture decisions, guide system integration, and work on cutting-edge optical and laser products used globally in critical defence environments. As the business continues to grow, there's a real opportunity to take on more responsibility, lead new technical areas, and progress your career as part of a future-focused engineering team.
The Opportunity
* Lead the design and integration of optical subsystems.
* Develop architectures & refine requirements.
* Work directly with multi-disciplinary teams
* System integration activities on next-generation product development.
* Support proposals, design and customer engagements.
* Grow with the business as their engineering function continues to expand.
What You Need
* Experience in designing optical, electro-optical or laser systems.
* Requirements capture, V&V, lifecycle engineering and systems design.
* Experience with FMEA/FTA, safety, reliability or risk management.
* Eligible for SC clearance + full UK driving licence.
