Finance leadership role focused on the oversight of Funeral Plan Trusts with responsibility for financial strategy, regulatory compliance, solvency, and sustainability of trust-based assets.
What you’ll be doing
* Leading the preparation of timely, accurate financial reporting for internal stakeholders, trustees, and regulators.
* Overseeing regulatory submissions, actuarial valuations, and annual Solvency Assessment Reports.
* Monitoring trust solvency, liquidity, and investment performance.
* Identifying financial risks and shaping mitigation strategies to protect customers’ interests.
* Offering clear financial insight to trustees, the CFO, and senior leadership.
* Playing a key role in strategic planning, sales impact forecasting, and contingency design, including Wind Down Planning.
* Collaborating with auditors, actuaries, investment managers, and the wider leadership team.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who blends technical depth with strategic leadership in a highly regulated, purpose-led environment.
You'll Need
* Senior-level finance experience in regulated sectors—funeral plans, trusts, pensions, insurance, or financial services.
* A strong grasp of trust accounting, solvency assessment, investment oversight, and FCA regulation.
* A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* Proven ability to lead teams, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver under pressure.
* High professional integrity, with a genuine interest in protecting people’s futures.
