Clinical Nurse Specialist - CYP Eating Disorders role at NHS North East London. Band 7 - Clinical Nurse Specialist in Eating Disorder (CYP).
We are looking for a Specialist Nurse to join our well-established, innovative Nurse-led CYP ED Intensive community treatment service. This is a great opportunity to join a highly skilled, dedicated, and friendly team. The HIVE service provides intensive community treatment for CYP and families, with a blended model of face-to-face and virtual appointments in non-hospital settings including family homes. The aim is to prevent deterioration and hospital admission where possible, and to support safe and early discharges when clinically indicated.
Responsibilities
* Provide in-reach to the local GAU, maintaining clinical contact as young people transition from community to inpatient care and ensuring care continuity.
* Support established pathways with paediatric inpatient teams for referrals, ensuring appropriate care from acute medical admission to discharge.
* Enable greater physical presence on paediatric wards by HIVE staff and support hospital colleagues to implement ED-specific care plans, especially in complex cases with co-morbid presentations.
* Provide comprehensive handovers to ward staff, share risk assessments/reports and formulate plans, provide meal support on the ward, and participate in weekly liaison meetings during the YP stay.
* Join ward rounds/weekly MDT discussions to support continuity of care for SEDUs & GAU as required.
* Attend weekly bed management meetings as required.

Starting with NELFT
New starters are welcomed and inducted as part of a Trust-wide process, with a comprehensive induction up to two weeks, mandatory training, systems training, equipment allocation, and opportunities to meet the executive team and attend drop-in sessions. Induction is held at the Trust head office in Rainham, Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement
This post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of base salary, with a minimum of £4,551 and maximum of £5,735, pro rata for part-time staff.
