Job Overview
ERM Certification and Verification Services (CVS), a rapidly growing global team within ERM Group, specializes in audit, assessment, validation, verification, and assurance across various ESG disciplines and sectors. We are seeking a Digital Transformation & Accreditation Director reporting to the ERM CVS Managing Director. This role requires deep technical expertise in our service portfolio—including assurance/verification, management systems certification, product certification & claims, and training services—as well as strong business leadership in digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Establishing an effective internal management system: Design, oversee, and implement a management system compliant with ISO standards (ISO 14019-4, ISO 17021, ISO 17024, ISO 17029, ISO 17030, ISO 17065, ISO 17064, ISAE 3000, ISSA 5000) and other relevant frameworks to support growth. Lead activities to meet assurance, certification, and training business demands.
2. Policy and Compliance: Define policies, objectives, roles, and responsibilities; review risks and opportunities; ensure impartiality and independence; manage internal audits, management reviews, corrective actions, client satisfaction, and complaints to ensure compliance and client focus.
3. Accreditations and Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain and expand accreditations and licenses; lead engagement with accreditation bodies, regulators, scheme owners, chambers, and associations; select appropriate partners to align with strategic goals.
4. Process Improvement and Digital Transformation: Drive process improvements, innovation, and digital transformation initiatives to enhance competitiveness, agility, and client experience.
5. Service Portfolio Development: Develop and expand our service offerings, including sustainability, quality, and digital trust portfolios, with input from business leaders. Lead business case development, strategic planning, team building, and oversee commercial and operational activities, dedicating approximately 30% of time to client-specific projects.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, environmental or sustainability sciences; MBA or master’s preferred.
* Proven leadership experience in accreditation, technical, or service delivery roles within certification or verification bodies, including developing management systems and understanding accreditation standards.
* Experience leading teams, complex projects, and digital transformation initiatives.
* Strategic planning, organizational, and leadership skills; excellent communication abilities.
* Interest in non-accredited services like ISAE 3000, internal audits, and product claims.
* Global awareness of sustainability assurance requirements and market trends.
Specific Requirements
* Minimum 10 years’ experience in certification or verification bodies, including 5+ years in leadership, with a focus on developing management systems, digital projects, and stakeholder relationships in key regions (North America, EMEA, Asia).
* Deep knowledge of international and regional accreditation standards; proven record in launching new programs in sustainability, digital trust, or quality assurance.
* Experience with strategic planning, budgeting, P&L management, and data analysis.
* Familiarity with digital tools, quality assurance, and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Strong project management and staff training experience.
