Nursing Associate - Outpatients
London: HCA The Shard, London Bridge Hospital
Full time: 37.5 hours per week
Shift times: Monday –Friday (flexibility required to include early and late shifts and occasional weekends)

Permanent contract
Salary: Competitive dependent on experience

Our outpatient facility at The Shard offers exceptional care across a range of medical specialties from orthopaedics to women’s health.

As a Nursing Associate you will play an essential role in supporting the delivery of safe, compassionate, and patient-centred care. Working under the guidance of Registered Nurses and as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the ongoing care and monitoring of patients conditions, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect. This position offers the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge within the Nursing Associate scope of practice, while working closely with Registered Nurses to ensure patients receive safe and effective care.

Rated as 'outstanding' by the CQC, the London Bridge Hospital campus in South East London encompasses an outpatients and diagnostic centre in The Shard; the large world-class hospital based at the Tooley Street site; Private Care at Guys, which is on the top four floors of Guys Hospital Cancer Centre; and outpatient and diagnostic centres across the City, Canary Wharf and Kent.

With 160 beds, 22 ICU beds and 10 operating theatres we offer our patients exceptional treatment across a multitude of acute and complex care and have use of the latest technologies and healthcare innovations

What you’ll bring:

1. Experience working within an outpatient’s department

2. NMC Registered as a Nursing Associate

3. Ability to communicate with patients, relatives and health care providers

4. Knowledge of when to seek advice and refer to a registered care professional

5. Good interpersonal skills. Polite, friendly and courteous manner

6. Ability to work effectively as a team player under appropriate supervision, and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
