Role Details
* Position: Head of Maths
* Location: Horsham Area
* Setting: SEN All-Through School specialising in Autism
* Key Stages: KS3 – KS4
* Start Date: September
* Salary: £48,000 – £53,000 (dependent on experience)
The Role
* Lead the Maths department across KS3 and KS4
* Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons tailored to individual learning needs
* Support pupils with Autism and additional learning needs
* Develop and adapt the Maths curriculum to ensure accessibility and engagement
* Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and senior leaders
* Create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* A passion for supporting children with additional needs
* The motivation to develop within a leadership role
Must Have
* Ability to work well independently and as a team
* Passion to support and empower children and young people
* DBS on the Updates Service
* Commitment to safeguarding students and young people
