Duties will include:
* Reporting directly to the directors, managing a portfolio of clients.
* Working alongside the firm's Directors to manage the workflow of staff.
* Dealing with clients and being a first point of contact.
* Preparing accounts, corporation tax and personal tax returns for clients.
* Reviewing accounts and tax work performed by more junior members of staff and provision of training as necessary.
The Firm
* General practice firm with a wide variety of clients in a number of industries, ranging from small sole traders through to groups of medium sized companies requiring statutory audit.
The Candidate
* Qualified ACCA/ACA or equivalent.
* Experience of supervising more junior members of staff.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with clients directly and build a good relationship.
* Good technical knowledge of accounting standards (in particular FRS 102 and FRS 102 1a), corporation tax, VAT and personal taxes.
* Working knowledge of Iris suite of accountancy software and CCH personal tax would be a strong advantage, though not essential.
* Prior experience of service charge accounting would be beneficial, but again not essential.
* Ideally suits someone that is either an Accounts and Tax semi-senior looking to take the next step in to a more senior position or an existing Accounts and Tax senior looking for a new challenge. Further progression is available for the right person.
* Should be keen to help the firm to continue on its development path and build and expand the business.
Salary
To be negotiated but will be a market rate salary depending on experience and qualifications
Location
Due to the nature of the role, working in the office would be preferable, but flexibility is available for occasional hybrid working.
Our office is in Ruislip on the High Street, so conveniently located for access to the A40. Parking is available. There are also excellent public transport links to the Chiltern line railway and Metropolitan, Piccadilly and Central lines on the London Underground network, all within walking distance of the office.
