Technical Project Manager – Hybrid – Permanent – Electrical/Controls/DCS/Instrumentation - £50-60k Samuel Frank is representing a growing consultancy business in Stockport that is looking to appoint a Technical Project Manager. This is a newly created role designed to take ownership of project delivery and introduce a layer of management within the team, ultimately freeing up the Director to focus on business development. The Technical Project Manager role isn’t a standard project management position. The successful Project Manager will be hands-on with technical project delivery, while also stepping into a leadership role that brings more structure to the business. With the potential to grow into a “second-in-command” capacity, this role is ideal for someone who is looking for a long-term move with real progression. Key responsibilities of the Technical Project Manager include: * Leading technical projects end-to-end, ensuring successful delivery across time, scope, and budget * Acting as a customer-facing lead, managing accounts and building strong client relationships * Providing management support to a team of Engineers, helping to develop processes and improve efficiency * Working closely with the Director on both delivery and business growth strategy Key requirements for the Technical Project Manager include: * Solid technical knowledge in areas such as EC&I, DCS, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems * Experience in an engineering consultancy or system integration environment * Proven ability to manage delivery while also developing and supporting a team * Excellent communication skills and commercial awareness * Someone ambitious, with the appetite to grow into a more senior leadership role * A Technical Project Manager who is used to working for a small to medium sized company or someone who is open to that is key.
