Role Overview
We currently have an opening for a Virtual Finance Function Manager to join our team. Due to growth, the VFF team seeks a manager to collaborate with clients, understand their business challenges, provide tailored accounting services, and help them focus on key activities. The role involves managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, and is client-facing. The ideal candidate will have industry and professional experience, applying technical best practices to real-world scenarios.
Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive accountancy services, including management accounts, client relationship management, statutory reporting, and project management.
* Collaborate with operational teams on financial impacts and planning for new projects.
* Ensure compliance with regulations, including tax laws and IFRS.
* Coach and review financial statements prepared under IFRS and UK GAAP.
* Support audit preparations and liaise with external auditors.
* Implement financial controls and ensure data integrity.
* Provide commercial finance insights and lead finance delivery for clients.
* Manage finance projects like system insights and process reviews.
* Implement new accounting standards into company processes.
* Assess resource needs and develop team skills.
* Build strong client relationships, providing trusted advice.
* Engage with diverse stakeholders and identify business development opportunities.
* Participate in management team activities, ensuring targets and deadlines are met.
Qualifications and Skills
* Fully qualified with experience in practice or industry.
* Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and local GAAPs.
* Deep understanding of accounting standards, tax, and financial reporting.
* Problem-solving mindset with solution-driven approach.
* Experience managing client portfolios and engagement.
* Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
* Growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning.
* Experience with technology, cloud accounting, and client solutions.
