West Dunbartonshire has developed a new team approach to public protection as part of a programme focused on learning and development for staff and public protection as a key priority.

The team reports through the Chief Social Work Officer and works closely with Committees and adult and children’s social work services and partner agencies. We seek highly driven and enthusiastic individuals who understand the value of collaboration to ensure children and adults are protected from harm, underpinned by trauma‑informed practice and service user voice.

* Learning and Development Officer Children
* Learning and Development Officer Adults
* Lead Officer Children
* Lead Officer Adults

Requirements

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007, and membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of the PVG scheme can be found here.

Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
