Job Description
This is a fixed-term position for 12 months within the Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Service. The role involves providing direct first-line management support to a team of administrative staff, supporting the Administration Service Lead in managing all aspects of administration, secretarial, and clerical support services. The aim is to ensure effective support to senior management, medical staff, and clinicians.
You will offer comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to Clinical Service Managers and Lead Nurse Teams, assisting in planning, developing, and maintaining the service to meet its objectives. Candidates should have qualifications in business administration or secretarial services, with significant experience in administration or PA roles, particularly within a healthcare setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential. Experience in service improvement projects and supervising peers/staff is also required.
Additional requirements include attending in-house training, a reasonable knowledge of the NHS, and familiarity with medical terminology. Travel between locations within Fife may be necessary. Due to legislative changes effective from 1 April 2025, the criminal records check level may differ, and appointment will be subject to PVG scheme requirements if applicable.
