This is a Monday to Friday, office‑hours role with hybrid working and full training provided. Key details Salary: £39,500–£42,000 plus approval and performance‑related bonus Location: Aylesbury assessment centre Working pattern: Monday to Friday, office hours only Hybrid working: Minimum two days per week onsite (not fully remote) No evenings, nights, weekends, or shift work Full‑time and part‑time opportunities available The role You will use your physiotherapy expertise to complete structured functional assessments for Personal Independence Payment (PIP) and/or Work Capability Assessment (WCA). Assessments focus on how physical health conditions affect a person’s ability to mobilise, function day‑to‑day, or carry out work‑related tasks, rather than delivering treatment or rehabilitation. Work is completed within defined clinical frameworks, with ongoing training and clinical support. Assessments may be completed via: Telephone Video consultation Face‑to‑face (non‑clinical setting) You will typically complete 3 to 5 assessments per day, depending on assessment type. What you will do Carry out structured functional assessments using professional clinical judgement Review medical evidence and supporting documentation Explore the functional impact of physical conditions and long‑term health issues Produce clear, accurate, evidence‑based written reports Use secure digital assessment systems Communicate clearly, professionally, and empathetically with service users What you will not do Deliver hands‑on physiotherapy treatment Provide rehabilitation programmes Make diagnoses Make benefit entitlement decisions Work evenings, weekends, or shifts Essential criteria Active HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist Minimum 1 year post‑registration clinical experience Strong clinical reasoning and report‑writing skills Confidence interpreting medical evidence and functional information Comfortable working with IT systems and structured processes Applicants must have Right to Work in the UK.
