Role Purpose
Ensuring smooth operation of automated packing machinery & support the efficiency of the warehouse operation. This role is hands-on, and will be primarily looking after our warehouse machinery including setting up, operating and maintaining our packing equipment with responsibility to deliver high-quality & quantity output.
This is working in a fast paced warehouse environment where attention to detail and speed are a fundamental requirement.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate and monitor packing machinery safely and efficiently.
* Set up machines for different product runs, adjusting settings as required.
* Carry out routine machine checks and basic maintenance (e.g., clearing blockages, changing reels, troubleshooting).
* Follow daily packing schedules to meet customer demand.
* Maintain accurate records of output, and performing frequent quality checks.
* Support general warehouse operations including goods-in, storage, order picking, packing, and dispatch if required.
* Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety standards.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a tidy, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.
* Escalate any issues with machines, stock, or safety to the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager promptly.
Skills & Experience
Essential
* Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
* Hands-on experience operating machinery or equipment (packing machines highly desirable).
* Good mechanical aptitude – confident with troubleshooting and basic adjustments.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
* Forklift licence (Counterbalance or Reach).
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing / continuous improvement principles.
* Experience with automated packing lines.

Various Shifts available including Early (06:00-15:00), Days (08:00-17:00), Lates (15:00-00:00) and regular overtime.
Note these are Fixed term contracts until the end of 2025 with opportunity of Full Time Permanent employment for high performing candidates.
