StudioDSK is an advisory, planning, architecture, and interiordesign firm with 35 employees. Our studio has two offices with a focus onresidential, institutional, cultural, and island development clients. AtstudioDSK, the successful candidate will be joining a team of talentedprofessionals who are passionate about providing their clients with the highestquality planning and design. We have a full-time Interior Designer position foran experienced, detail-oriented, and proficient Revit user in our Concord, MAstudio.
The candidate has the responsibility to lead project teams to conceptualize interiors projects, set the initial design direction, and make critical aesthetic decisions throughout the project while integrating input from the client, the senior project manager/Principal, and members of the project team. The Interior Designer has an overall responsibility to maintain the highest design quality for our projects while supporting and perpetuating our core values.
Your Role at studioDSK:
* Collaborate on Firm projects, including programming, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration
* Provide design leadership to team members for all phases of the project from conception through construction
* Prepare, develop, and monitor, with team members as appropriate, conceptual designs, material and concept presentations, construction documentation and administration, including submittals, shop drawings, and finish samples for approval
* Partner with contractors, consultants, vendors, sub-contractors to meet overall project objectives
* Conceptualize, design, and detail custom product solutions when appropriate
* Prepare and manage project FFE specifications and material selections
* Maintain working knowledge of current techniques, products, materials, and systems
* Create new and foster existing relationships with local workrooms, sales reps and vendors
* Review/red-line vendor quotes, prepare sales proposals, and manage studioDSK’s in‑house procurement process
* Contribute to office activities, Firm initiatives, and professional development of emerging designers
* Forecast and Manage project budgets while meeting established targets
Our Requirements:
* Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and complete a design project on time and on budget
* Minimum of 7 years’ experience with 5 years’ experience in Residential Interior Design
* Excellent communication skills to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
* Use of a variety of communication and media techniques in the development and documentation of a design project
* Excellent organizational and presentation skills and written/verbal communication skillsAble to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
* Must manage multiple projects in various stages of development
* Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information
* Willingness to listen, support, and learn from all members of the team
* Provide a diverse portfolio of previous client work
* Proficiency with REVIT, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office required
* Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture required
* NCIDQ accreditation preferred
* LEED AP ID+C accreditation preferred
