Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Blind Manufacturer / Fitting Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting the production and fitting of blinds, ensuring quality standards are met, and assisting with assembly processes. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, practical skills in using hand and power tools, experience manufacturing would be an advantage. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialised skills within the window coverings industry. With the aim of full-time employment within 1 year.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the manufacturing and assembly of blinds according to specified designs and quality standards
* Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during production processes
* Support fitting teams by preparing materials and components for installation
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
* Inspect finished products for defects or inconsistencies before dispatch
* Assist with stock organisation within the warehouse, including inventory checks and material handling
* Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality targets
Skills
* Industry knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools and power tools confidently
* Experience in assembly work within a manufacturing setting is desirable
* Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure high-quality output
* Ability to follow technical instructions accurately and work efficiently as part of a team
* Good communication skills and a proactive attitude towards safety and teamwork
