As a senior member of the team, you will provide leadership, deliver high-quality care, conduct unit rounds, assess referrals, attend Care and Treatment Reviews, Managers’ Panel Hearings, and Mental Health Review Tribunals. You will also provide regular supervision to junior team members.

Other responsibilities:
* Responsible for the administration of the Mental Health Act, Clinical Policy, Clinical Standards, and related administrative tasks for service users.
* Manage and evaluate the medical service through audits, ensuring clinical policies and practices are research-based and of high standard.
* Collaborate with external stakeholders to facilitate service users' transition back into the community.
* Chair ward MDT (ICR) meetings.
* Ensure proper functioning of the Care Programme Approach for service users.
* Assess referrals to ensure appropriate admissions.
* Contribute to staff training, education, and development.
* Participate in Clinical Governance activities.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Be medically qualified with MRCPsych or equivalent.
* Possess excellent spoken and written communication skills.
* Be innovative, imaginative, and able to initiate corporate decisions.
* Demonstrate leadership ability.
* Be capable of effecting change professionally and organizationally.
* Have an understanding of current developments in psychiatry and mental health.
* Possess knowledge of change management, relevant legislation, and contemporary cases in mental and physical health.
* Have previous consultant experience.
