Training Contract Paralegal
An elite US law firm is hiring a new Training Contract Paralegal to join their London offices on an initial 9-month fixed-term contract working the Afternoon and Evening shift from 12pm to 8.30pm. This role is ideal for someone with a training contract lined up in 2026/2027. Providing high-level work from day one, this is a superb opportunity for an experienced Corporate / Finance Paralegal.
* Salary up to £58,000
* Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 days remote)
* 12pm to 8.30pm
* Paid overtime
The Training Contract Paralegal will play a key role in all phases of corporate transactions, working alongside partners and attorneys.
Key Responsibilities:
* Understanding documentation required for High Yield Bond Transactions and the processes from start to finish.
* Assisting lawyers with transaction pre-closings and closings.
* Drafting due diligence memoranda, call logs, fact backup charts, and transfer circle ups.
* Handling attorney requests from the US office via the US Library.
* Conducting document searches and factual research, including searches on computerized systems.
* Proofreading agreements and transactional documents.
* Obtaining charter documents and good standing certificates from the Secretary of State.
* Handling post-closing matters, including preparing bound volumes.
* Gathering precedents for new transactions.
Skills & Requirements:
* Excellent academic qualifications are essential.
* Training contract secured for 2026 or 2027.
* Substantial paralegal experience in a top law firm, preferably in Capital Markets, US Securities, and Leveraged Finance.
* Proficiency in managing complex transactions within a corporate practice group.
