This post is a position to work in our kitchen. The kitchen duties include cleaning, preparing a light evening meal and tea trolley duties.
You need to be a person who enjoys the company of the elderly and likes working as a part of a team.

22.5 hours per week- 7.5 Hours per day. 3 shifts per week - 10am - 6pm (30 minute unpaid break) Weekend work to be included.

Job Description
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To assist in basic food and beverage preparation, including preparation of basic suppers.
2. To serve food and beverages as directed.
3. To set tables before meals and to clear tables after meals together with any necessary cleaning of the surrounding area.
4. To ensure that the dining area is always presented to a high standard.
5. To ensure that the days menu is clearly displayed and that the chalk boards are on every table.
6. To ensure the tea trolley list is up to date at all times.
7. To put away stores as directed.
8. To assist in a monthly stock, take with the kitchen cook/manager.
9. To wash and store crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils etc., and to report any shortages or breakages.
10. To clean Kitchen area and equipment as directed and to remove rubbish.
11. To ensure the area outside the kitchen doors is clutter free and clean.
12. To observe all safety notices in relation to prohibited and mandatory action.
13. To observe all measures relating to necessary hygiene as given in the initial training period as well as referring to previous experience.
14. To work within the COSHH guidelines.
15. To ensure that you are familiar with all kitchen documentation and have a general understanding of how to access documentation you may need.
16. To attend mandatory training courses relevant to the position as directed by the Manager.
17. To work in such a manner as to comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act and Company policies in force relative to this position.
18. To undertake any other duties as instructed by the Manager or Cook in charge.
19. To report any issues or concerns to the manager.
