Plumbing Course Leader (Tutor)
Full time, 37 hours per week
Location: The Stephen Burke Construction Academy, Swadlincote
Salary: Up to £36,590 pro rata plus £4,500 "Golden Hello" staged over 3 years; Bursary up to £1,800 per year (qualification level dependent); up to £11,000 professional development bursary for formal education and training qualifications including Level 3-5 Education & Teaching, Level 3 TAQA Assessor Qualification, Level 4 TAQA Internal Quality Assurance Qualification, Level 4 HNC in Construction / Civil Engineering.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to teaching on courses within the Construction department and lead plumbing programmes.
* Develop and deliver specialist industry‑related courses as required.
* Engage learners from day one, bringing industry experience and a fresh teaching style to the department.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Hold relevant qualifications in the subject area.
* A teaching qualification is desirable, or willingness to work towards one.
* Qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications required.
* Applicants should have construction skills within the range of Plumbing or Electrical Installation.
* Approved for Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) enhanced level application and comply with KCSIE guidance.
