JOB- CAD Technician
LOCATION- Hertford
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £28,000 - £38,000 per annum, dependent on experience
My client specialises in metalwork and fabrication, and they are looking to take on a CAD Technician on a permanent basis near Andover.
Responsibilities
* Working within the current engineering team with other CAD Technicians
* Producing 3D designs using Autodesk Inventor CAD software and 2D designs with AutoCAD
* Liaising with manufacturing providers
* Being involved in final assembly of products
* Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
* Updating 3D models and drawings
* Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs
* Checking drawings for sign off
* Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
Requirements / Qualifications
* 1-2 years' experience in a similar CAD Operation / Design Engineering / Mechanical Engineering position
* Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo etc.
* Any previous experience of working with bespoke metalwork, structural steel or similar would be beneficial
* Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar would be beneficial
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
* Proficient using MS Office
* Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
* Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
