Description This role sits at the heart of the customer experience, acting as a key link between customers, internal teams, and operations. You’ll be the go‑to person for managing customer orders, solving problems, and ensuring everything runs smoothly from order placement through to delivery. With a strong focus on accuracy, collaboration, and service excellence, you’ll help keep the business moving while building trusted relationships and making a real impact on customer satisfaction and team success. This position requires someone with Germany language skills and experience in customer service. Responsibilities Receive customer orders via email, telephone, and electronic systems; enter, amend, and manage orders while resolving queries and complaints within scope Ensure all orders are accurately entered into the ERP system by the agreed cut‑off times Manage orders of basic complexity in line with established processes Follow work instructions and request updates or amendments where needed Act as a positive team contributor, arranging appropriate cover during holiday leave Support customer service activities related to shipping, production schedules, inventory, and sales by reviewing reports, orders, and shipments Identify and escalate customer issues to management in a timely manner Prepare and review customer correspondence and documentation, responding clearly to questions and concerns Build strong relationships with internal teams to ensure the best possible service for customers Qualifications High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience Demonstrated ability to deliver high‑quality customer service and resolve customer issues effectively Experience handling customer enquiries, complaints, and concerns with a solution‑focused approach Strong written and verbal communication skills, including developing customer correspondence and documentation Proven ability to work collaboratively with other departments and business functions Ability to apply departmental policies, procedures, and work instructions consistently Solid PC skills, including experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAGE, SAP, Oracle 11i/12, Analytics) Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other business systems as required Confident communicator, able to provide and receive direction from colleagues German language skills (spoken and written) Our offer to you Competitive compensation programme Company bonus Company contributed pension Career growth opportunities in a truly international environment Innovation leaders in the protective coatings industry Sherwin Academy offers continuous training programmes for all seniority levels Attractive wellbeing, mental health, women & inclusion and ID&E programmes LI-JR1
