Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a KS4 SEN Teacher to work within a specialist setting in the Horncastle area, supporting students with additional learning needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils who may have Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, or who require additional support to access the curriculum and engage successfully with their education.
The role involves delivering tailored teaching and learning for Key Stage 4 students, supporting both their academic progress and personal development in a structured and supportive environment.
This role is ideal for qualified teachers or experienced education professionals who are passionate about inclusive education and making a positive difference to the lives of young people.
The Role
As a KS4 SEN Teacher, you will:
Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to Key Stage 4 students with SEN
Plan and adapt learning to meet individual needs and EHCP targets
Support students with a range of additional needs including SEN and SEMH
Help pupils build confidence, independence and engagement with learning
Monitor and track student progress, adapting support where needed
Work closely with support staff, SENCOs and wider school teams
Maintain a calm, supportive and structured classroom environment
Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Requirements
To be considered for this role you should:
Have experience teaching Key Stage 4 students
Have experience working with pupils with SEN or SEMH needs (highly desirable)
Be patient, adaptable and confident managing behaviour positively
Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
Hold QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred)
Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
Have the legal right to work in the UK
Pay
Competitive daily rate, depending on experience and qualifications.
